1.
  Socioeconomic analysis and development of skills aimed at family farming.This line seeks to understand the forms and mechanisms of distribution and marketing of agricultural products and train rural producers. (Approved by the Department/Scientific Council in 1993).

  Evaluation and technological production of homemade enteral diets.Aims to evaluate non-industrialized (homemade) formulations for enteral diet regarding nutritional value, physical-chemical characteristics, cost and types of food; obtain diet formulations for home consumption with better physical-chemical characteristics and nutritional value, using low-cost conventional and industrialized foods, easy to acquire and prepare, for patients unable to eat due to orally; obtain formulations for enteral nutrition with conventional and industrialized foods that are low-cost and easy to prepare for industrial processing. (Approved by the Department/Scientific Council in 1993).

  Food Safety. This line addresses the topic of Food Security in a broad sense. (Approved by the Department/Scientific Council in 1994).
