Hemocentro issues warning for low blood stocks

The situation puts care in hospitals across the region at risk and compromises essential procedures that depend on blood transfusions.

The Unicamp Blood Center is at a critical moment of blood shortages, with very low stocks. This situation puts care in hospitals across the region at risk, potentially compromising essential treatments and procedures that depend on blood transfusions.

Faced with this emergency, the Hemocentro makes an urgent appeal for action by the residents of Campinas and the region to donate blood. According to the agency, the process is quick, safe and can make a difference for many patients.

Those who cannot attend in person to donate can help by sharing the post on their social networks, among friends, family and co-workers. According to Hemocentro, each donation can benefit up to four people.
