Final Report of the Institutional Assessment is approved in a Consu session

Document refers to the years 2019 to 2023 and is a mandatory instrument to be carried out every five years

The ordinary session of the University Council (Consu) held this Tuesday (26) approved the Final Report of the Institutional Evaluation of Unicamp for the years 2019 to 2023. Prepared every five years, the instrument is a mandatory component for educational institutions to proceed with their re-accreditation with the State Education Council, the body to which the publication is sent. It is also an important resource for the University to review and improve its strategic planning.

Launched in December 2023, this edition of the Institutional Assessment covered the work of Unicamp's teaching and research units, centers and technical colleges in 13 areas: governance and management; health management; communication; sustainability; human rights; basic and technical education; undergraduate and ProFIS (Interdisciplinary Higher Education Program); graduate studies; research; social and technological innovation; internationalization; extension and culture; and graduates and alumni. Of these topics, the themes of sustainability, health management, human rights and communication were assessed for the first time.

The evaluation process took place throughout 2024. The information collected by the units in the internal evaluation stage was gathered by the Office of Institutional Data and Decision Support (Age) of the General Coordination of the University (ToU) and analyzed by committees responsible for writing each of the 13 chapters, referring to the 13 evaluated themes. Afterwards, the chapters were sent for evaluation by external committees, formed by Brazilian and foreign experts in the areas, so that considerations and recommendations could be made for each theme.

Unicamp’s general coordinator, Maria Luiza Moretti, thanked all the professionals and sectors involved in the data collection, compilation and preparation of the report. “The dedication of the entire community allows the University to remain an institution of excellence, relevant and aligned with the demands of society,” highlighted Moretti.
