The General Secretariat (SG) will be accepting applications from Monday (14) until April 25 for faculty representation at the University Council (Consu), the University's highest decision-making body. Applications must be submitted exclusively through the link available on the website. SG.
Teachers who are members of the Unicamp staff from levels MS-3 to MS-6 may register for the MS career level representation bench and for the MS career general representation bench. Teachers in the following situations may not vote or receive votes: collaborating professor, senior professor, teachers admitted on an emergency or temporary basis, and teachers who are prisoners or retired due to disability.
Composition of the benches
The teaching representation will be composed of 22 full members and their respective substitutes, distributed as follows:
I) representation bench by MS career level, composed of nine members:
3 representatives of professors with doctorates – MS-3 level;
3 representatives of associate professors – MS-5 level;
3 representatives of tenured professors – MS-6 level.
II) general representation bench of the MS career, composed of eleven members elected by all teachers in the career, regardless of the level to which they belong, among candidates from levels MS-2 to MS-6.
I bench representing other teaching careers, composed of two members elected by their peers.
Criteria
Simultaneous registration to the general representation bench of the MS career and to the representation bench by level of the MS career is not permitted.
MS-2 level teachers may only register as candidates for the general representation bench of the MS career.
For the representation bench of the other teaching careers, teachers from the following careers may register: Language Teaching (DEL), Special Education and Rehabilitation (DEER), Artistic Teaching (MA), Secondary Technical Teaching (MST) and Higher Technological Teaching (MTS).
Election takes place in May
The term of office of teaching representatives at Consu will be two years, starting on June 20, 2025, with reappointment permitted.
The election will take place from 9 am on May 27th to 16:59 pm the following day, in a single round, by direct and secret vote, via electronic means.
Voting is mandatory for all teachers and optional for teachers on vacation, away or on leave, and voting by proxy is not permitted.
