The Fundação Centro de Atendimento Socioeducativo ao Adolescente (Fundação Casa) signed a Technical Cooperation Agreement with Unicamp in May to train its employees in topics related to public administration. The goal is to strengthen institutional management and expand the technical knowledge of professionals who work directly in the implementation of socio-educational policy.
The agreement, which will be valid for five years, will be executed by the Corporate University of Fundação Casa (Unicasa) and the Pro-Rectorate of Extension, Sports and Culture (Proeec). The first Work Plan foresees the implementation of the extension course “Planning and Management in Public Organizations”, with a workload of 32 hours and a methodology based on online synchronous meetings.
The course aims to work with theoretical and practical elements on strategic management and the sharing of experiences necessary to increase the effectiveness of the actions of Brazilian public leaders. The proposal is to contribute to the improvement of the participants' skills in the planning, formulation and implementation of public policies. Conceptual aspects of the evolution of the State and its recent transformations will be addressed, with a focus on the relationship between the State and society. The content also includes management methods, tools and instruments that can be applied in the institutional day-to-day, in addition to discussions directed at public policies and strategic projects according to the profile and interests of the registered civil servants.

The president of Fundação Casa, Claudia Carletto, emphasizes that the partnership marks a new phase for the institution. “This is a strategic action to value our employees and strengthen public management. Unicamp is a center of excellence, and having it as a partner allows us to think about socio-education based on evidence, innovation and commitment to public service. It is an investment in our ability to plan, evaluate and transform realities.”
For Proeec, the agreement represents another significant step in consolidating the partnership with Fundação Casa. “Proeec remains motivated to continually and fruitfully expand the relationship networks that involve the university and society, always aiming to strengthen public work,” the institution stated in a statement.
The selection of participants will be made jointly by the institutions, taking into account the profiles and areas of activity of the staff. The meetings will be led by Unicamp professors through the Google Meet platform. At the end, participants will receive a certificate of completion issued by the university.
The cooperation between Fundação Casa and Unicamp also provides for the continuous monitoring and evaluation of training activities, with impact indicators, technical reports and the possibility of expanding the offer of courses according to institutional demand.
