Registration is now open for the 20th edition of the Unicamp Open Doors 2025 (UPA 2025) program. The event, a tradition at the University, will take place this year on August 23, from 9 am to 17 pm, at the Unicamp campus in Barão Geraldo, Campinas. Schools and educational institutions can register through the available form in the website.
This year, the program that opens Unicamp's doors to students from all over Brazil is becoming a fixture on the calendar of public and private schools, whose students come to the campus to get to know the facilities and academic life of one of the best universities in Latin America. “UPA represents a moment in which we have the opportunity to showcase everything that we have here, not only in our undergraduate courses, but also how professionals trained here can interact with the market and the environment,” said Fernando Antonio Santos Coelho, general coordinator of Unicamp.
According to the professor, the celebration of the event’s 20th anniversary offers an opportunity to reinforce Unicamp’s commitment to its core values. “It is a festive event in which people come to the University to get to know us. It is also a moment for us to affirm that this is a public, free university that is dedicated to meeting all of society’s demands.”

Another milestone in 2025, the 30th edition of the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP30) will be held in Brazil in November in the city of Belém (PA). To celebrate both events, the theme of this year's event at Unicamp will be “UPA 20 years and COP30 in Brazil: the change has already begun”. Through this meeting on its campus, Unicamp intends to raise awareness among the entire community regarding actions to mitigate climate change and highlight the work developed by the University in this direction – a mission that permeates the history of UPA itself.
“A university like Unicamp has and must develop the necessary tools to contribute to mitigating these effects and establishing policies that allow the adoption of concrete actions to remedy the severity of the situation resulting from climate change,” said Coelho. “We already do this, but we must work even harder with the government to contribute to solutions that require significant scientific and technological resources.”
Throughout the day, students and other members of the community will be able to participate in guided tours of Unicamp's colleges and institutes, visiting laboratories, research centers, libraries, projects and outreach activities, and spaces that are part of campus life. Professors and students from undergraduate courses will hold lectures, workshops, discussion groups, games and activities on various topics, in addition to giving presentations on services offered by the University to its students and providing guidance on the Unicamp 2026 Entrance Exam and other admission modalities.

Open Applications
Registration for UPA 2025 is free and is open to schools and educational institutions. The event organizers ask that interested institutions register in order to anticipate the number of attendees and manage parking spaces for buses and vans, ensuring an enriching and enjoyable experience for students. However, individual visits or visits by family and friends are free and welcome. In this case, there is no need to register.
Coordinators and directors can register their schools and educational institutions using the form available at UPA website, in the “Registrations” tab. During the months leading up to the event, Unicamp’s communication channels will provide useful information, interesting facts and content about UPA and the University.
