Concept
- Publication edited in successive parts, with numerical or chronological designations, for an unlimited time, characterized by the variety of content and collaborators.
Responsibility for initial data entry
- teacher or authorized person from the body. The necessary information must be extracted from the journal itself. The periodical, indicated as specialized, will be subject to validation by the Central Library, and may also include, alter, exclude and replace periodicals.
Update rules
- Once the specialized periodical is validated by the Central Library, only it can make changes to the database of validated periodicals.

Classification |
| Magazine – serial publication that has signed articles resulting from research activities or issuing opinions, points of view, etc., from experts on a given subject. Newspapers, Bulletins and Similar – serial publications with the objective of dissemination, which contain news shorts, reports, notes or unsigned materials of an ephemeral nature. Example: news bulletins, factual newspapers or newsletters from trade associations, directories and private or government institutions. | |
