Research line

Definition

  • Thematic Center of the Unit characterized by the development of work with objects or common research methodologies.

Responsibility for maintaining data

  • The Director(s) of the Unit(s) that created the Research Line, or the authorized person of the unit, who informs whether the line is active or not.

Rules for updating

  • The lines of teaching and research units must be compatible with those reported in Capes.

The guidance is that in the teaching and research units there are no lines of research that will not be considered for Capes.

The Postgraduate courses must be the same lines as the research departments in the units.

If a line is registered as “not considered for Capes”, all productions linked to that line will not be automatically informed by SIPEX to Capes.

While a line is deactivated, it is not permitted to link it to new productions.

Notes regarding charging old SIPEX

  • All lines of research, belonging to the teaching and research units, were loaded into SIPEX with the status of deactivated

Each line responsible must carry out work making the SIPEX lines compatible with those reported in Capes, mainly correcting the name, and updating the field considered for Capes with 'S'. This work must be done together with postgraduate coordinators and department heads.

For each line evaluated, the director or authorized person from the unit must enter the screen and reactivate the line.

From there, continue with the necessary changes.

Lines that will be replaced or canceled must remain deactivated.
