Summary
The study was guided by professor Flávio Luís Schmidt, from the Department of Food Technology at FEA-Unicamp. He says that annonaceous plants have attracted attention around the world, because, on the one hand, they can help combat various diseases, on the other hand, they also present some level of toxicity. “In this study we are not concerned with the biological issues of its active ingredients, but we are dedicated to extracting the main compounds and studying ways of purification.”
