Summary
An unprecedented system in the world, created by a young Brazilian researcher, makes it possible to “hijack” drones, taking control of them without the knowledge of whoever put them to fly. Named Drone Control, the system was developed by Maurício Martins Donatti, a postgraduate student at the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the State University of Campinas (Unicamp), under the guidance of professor Leandro Tiago Manera. Donatti is a research fellow at the company Neger Telecom, a small technology-based company also in Campinas, SP.
