Summary

The study was carried out as part of a project supported by FAPESP and the National Institute of Bioethanol Science and Technology. The work was carried out by researchers from the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering at the State University of Campinas (Feagri-Unicamp), from the Institute of Biosciences (IB-USP) and the “Luiz de Queiroz” School of Agriculture (Esalq) at the University of São Paulo, in collaboration with colleagues from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and Iowa State University, in the United States , in addition to the University of Copenhagen, the Danish Energy Association and the National Center for Supercomputing Applications, from Denmark, and Lancaster University, from the United Kingdom.
