Summary

Recognize the field and opponents, create strategies, run, dribble, shoot and hit the goal. Simple tasks for humans in a football match, but complex for computer researchers. Making robots carry out these activities was the first part of the challenge that the school teacher Unicamp, in Campinas (SP), Esther Luna Colombini focused on the evolution of robotics in her studies. Overcoming the lack of muscles, tendons, ligaments and bone joints, making machines a (very) possible reality.
