The researcher at the Institute of Economics of Unicamp, Ranulfo Paiva Sobrinho, explains that, here in Brazil, regulation seems very distant. "Maybe, later on, when this technology is more mature, when people are adopting it on a larger scale. Today it is still a minority. If there is a need, then I believe it would be worth trying to do something to regulate it. However, I think that The Central Bank's stance is positive in this sense in terms of this system maturing", believes Ranulfo.
