The book originated from a provocation by the philosopher Márcia Tiburi, who invited Lins to participate in the program “Café Filosófico”, on TV Cultura in São Paulo. One of the themes was rock and metaphysics, and he, already a fan of Dylan, turned to the theme based on the artist's song lyrics and poetry. It ended up that Lins lost his measure of interest and turned this initial kickoff into a wild study mission, as an academic that he is (he is a professor-researcher at Unicamp, from Campinas).
