When analyzing in studies the trajectories of different groups from basic education to higher education, researcher Cibele Yahn de Andrade, from Unicamp, concludes that “overcoming educational inequalities in Brazil also involves adopting policies at initial levels of schooling that are primarily aimed at the most vulnerable populations, who interrupt or abandon studies, as evidenced by educational data according to family income and the color of young people”.
