New security breach managed to alter electronic voting machine software

“The team's main success was detecting and using a sequence of vulnerabilities to inject code of our own into the electronic voting machine's programs before the loading process, when the software is installed. We did the equivalent of a 'jailbreak' of a modern cell phone, only in the electronic voting machine”, explained the professor at Unicamp about the second attack on the equipment.
