Professor Flavia Sobreira, from IFGW-Unicamp, participated in the study by the Dark Energy Survey (DES) collaboration, which was one of the first to record the violent process of merger of two neutron stars, which occurred more than 130 million years ago, which generated gravitational waves. The researcher participated in the collaboration through a Post-Doctoral Fellowship granted by FAPESP.
