Summary
For the professor of Linguistics at the State University of Campinas (Unicamp) Marcelo Buzato, writing is a sociocultural practice, which remains, although it is constantly changing. "In the 1920s and 1930s, children were not allowed to hold pencils because they were sharp, parents were afraid. (Today) many of the functions of writing that were tied to cursive writing have lost value and are being replaced. At the same time, the people appropriate writing with other functions", he analyzes.
