Minister Gilmar Mendes, president of the Superior Electoral Court (TSE), stated that the flaws found arose after updating the system aimed at this year's election. The most successful group in the tests, which are still ongoing, was that of professor Diego Aranha, from the University of Campinas (Unicamp), who found flaws in some aspects of the software used in the electronic devices on the first day of testing. Among the findings is the possibility of changing the logs, which are voting records. This change was made on a piece of equipment where one of the libraries (subprograms) did not have an electronic signature.
