According to data from the Center for Meteorological and Climate Research Applied to Agriculture (Cepagri), the temperature in Campinas has been rising over the last two decades. Although January this year was cooler, the last 8 years have recorded the highest average temperatures in the municipality's history. Back then, between 1988 and 1997, no summer month (December, January and February) reached more than 31 degrees.
