Tax reaches 50% of the price of carnival items and 80% of alcoholic drinks

Carnival products fall into the “non-essential” group, which in fact have higher taxes. In the case of alcoholic beverages, taxation is even higher because there is also a public health policy to try to inhibit it. The tax specialist and professor at Unicamp, Guilherme Mello, thinks about some alternatives, but also sees that in some cases there is not much to go on.
