"Each society and era operates by producing ideal conceptions of what is considered masculine and feminine. Such conceptions perform a regulatory function, determining which postures, attitudes and forms of self-presentation are appropriate and inappropriate", explains anthropologist Isabela Venturoza, a doctoral candidate in Social Anthropology by UNICAMP and specialist in relations and gender, violence and feminism, in an interview with GALILEU.
