Ultra-resistant material is obtained from a 19th century idea

Now, a group of researchers from the Gleb Wataghin Institute of Physics at the State University of Campinas (IFGW-Unicamp), linked to the Center for Computational Engineering and Sciences (CECC) – one of the Research, Innovation and Diffusion Centers (CEPIDs) funded by FAPESP –, managed, in collaboration with colleagues from Rice University, in the United States, to find a practical way to generate these materials on a real scale.
