Elza Berquó, 92: one of the most important demographers in the country

Elza was also at the forefront of the founding of the Brazilian Association of Population Studies (Abep) and created in Unicamp the Population Studies Center (Nepo), named after him since 2014. Interestingly, her dedication to her work ended up turning her into an example of one of her most researched topics, the postponement or termination of reproduction by women.
