Summary
Computer simulations carried out by a group of physicists from the State Universities of Campinas (Unicamp) and Federal do ABC (UFABC) provided an explanation for a unique property of membranes made of graphene oxide, sheets of hexagonal structure formed mainly by carbon atoms and a small number of oxygen and hydrogen atoms.
