Débora graduated from the State University of Campinas (Unicamp) and has worked as an assistant teacher for 13 years at a private school in Natal (RN). In 2015, she was considered one of the three outstanding personalities in education in the country and received the Darcy Ribeiro Education Award, an honorable mention granted by the Education Committee of the Chamber of Deputies.
