Luiz Marques, professor at the Department of History at IFCH /Unicamp, highlights that the dictatorship began to repress the student movement with much more violence after the episode: “With the murder of three other protesters, in addition to several injuries and hundreds of arrests, the student movement stopped being mainly student and exploded in the famous march of the 100 thousand, in June, which had, it is said, many more people, from all social classes”.
