Summary
This began to be questioned in Brazil between the 80s and 90s when the first specific groups focused on the study of women emerged, such as the pioneering Center for Women's Studies at PUC in Rio de Janeiro and the Center for Gender Studies at Unicamp in 1998, among other groups of researchers, such as those who are part of the Department of Scientific and Technological Policy at Unicamp. They began to question gender inequality within the sciences and universities.
