Right to Literature

Right at the entrance to the space where the Ocupação Antonio Cândido is located, at the Itaú Cultural, in São Paulo, the visitor finds himself in front of a literary treasure. A life-size photograph reproduces the shelf on which the literary critic, sociologist and professor, who died last year at the age of 98, accommodated the approximately six thousand volumes of works that accompanied him until the end. The physical library will be donated to the University of Campinas (Unicamp).
