By the end of this year, three important buildings at the State University of Campinas (Unicamp) will be self-sufficient in electricity. This is the first stage of an ambitious project, the Sustainable Campus, which will use solar energy to operate as many departments as possible. Resources for financing research and purchasing materials come from partnerships signed with the private sector.
