Summary

Researchers from the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar) and the State University of Campinas (Unicamp) found, in the interior of Ceará (CE), the fossil of a dinosaur that lived more than 110 million years ago. The bone, which resembles a tree trunk, is a piece of the tibia of a species called Spinosaurus. The discovery helped paleontologists identify yet another piece in the 'puzzle' of the evolution of these animals.
