Less rain, more heat: Campinas region is experiencing an atypical winter, says Cepagri

Winter 2018 in Campinas (SP) is deviating from the "standards". With drought and temperatures above expected for the time, rivers that cross the region are in agony with low flows and reliving scenarios of the 2014 water crisis. According to the Cepagri, Unicamp, total rainfall reached only 60% of what was expected for the year and the presence of a mass of dry air prevents a change in the scenario in the coming days.
