Summary

An international group, with the participation of researchers linked to the State University of Campinas (Unicamp), managed to give rise to a new material with these characteristics. Scientists managed to extract from a common iron ore, like those exploited by many mining companies in Brazil, a material called hematene, which is three atoms thick and has unusual photocatalytic properties.
