Corona in São Paulo/SP: Perceptions and Impacts of the Pandemic in the East Zone of the City

The 16th DPCT/IG Covid-19 Bulletin analyzes the spread of Covid-19 in urban spaces. Preliminary results are presented from a survey carried out in the East Zone of São Paulo through the use of Geoinformation and the collection of primary data from the population, using an online questionnaire.
The direct contribution of people living in that region enabled a more precise view of the problems related to the pandemic, outlining those that must be addressed by public authorities.
Maps were also created showing the spatial distribution of Covid cases and deaths related to the disease in the city of São Paulo.
