This Bulletin seeks to discuss Brazilian industrial fragility through products that had import tariffs zeroed to help combat the pandemic. For this, international trade data, the innovation rate of Brazilian companies and the value of industrial transformation in the years 2008, 2011, 2014 and 2017 were used. With this, it was noted that Brazil's weakness in providing a short-term response, configuring dependence of imported inputs and equipment, is due to the loss of density of the national industrial fabric prior to the pandemic.
