Food losses and waste

The Permanent Forum “Food loss and waste: contribution of post-harvest technology and a look to the future” takes place on October 10th, starting at 8:30 am, in the Convention Center auditorium. Companies, undergraduate and postgraduate students, professionals, researchers, teachers and agricultural producers are the target audience for the event.

The opening conference, at 9:30 am, will be given by Alan Bojanic, representative of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in Brazil. It will address “Sustainable development goals: halving waste by 2030”.

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations is a United Nations agency that leads efforts to eradicate hunger and combat poverty. Its motto, fiat panis, translates from Latin, meaning “let there be bread”.

The Forum is organized by the teacher Juliana Aparecida Fracarolli, from the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering (Feagri).
