Between November 28th and December 1st, 2022, Unicamp will host the 11th edition of the Brazilian Conference on Intelligent Systems - BRACIS 2022, one of the most important events in the country for the discussion and presentation of research and innovations in the areas of artificial intelligence and computational. The meeting also marks the official inauguration of the Center for Applied Research in Artificial Intelligence - BI0S. BRACIS 2022 activities take place at the Geosciences Institute (IG), the Casa do Lago Cultural Space and the Visiting Professor's House (CPV). The complete program is available on event website.
BRACIS 2022 is organized by the Brazilian Computing Society (SBC), which selected Unicamp's BI0S to host the event this year. In addition to the conference, five other events will be held jointly: National Meeting of Artificial and Computational Intelligence (ENIAC); Symposium on Knowledge Discovery, Mining and Learning - KDMile), Competition for Theses and Dissertations in Artificial and Computational Intelligence (CTDIAC), Brazilian Competition for Data Extraction in Databases (Brazilian Competition on Knowledge Discovery in Databases - KDD-BR) and Workshop of the Brazilian Institute of Data Science (WBI0S).
The program includes lectures, plenary sessions, round tables, thematic meetings and presentations of scientific and technical works. The approved articles that will be presented during the event are now available in two volumes of the Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence (LNAI) series, published by Springer. About BI0S
Created in 2021, BI0S is one of the Applied Research Centers in Artificial Intelligence approved through a call from the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI), Fapesp and the Brazilian Internet Steering Committee (CGI.br). The research carried out by the center focuses on the application of data science in medicine and agriculture and also on the development of new research methods for application in other sectors.
The Center is headquartered at the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering (FEEC) at Unicamp and is directed by João Marcos Romano, dean of Research and professor at the unit.
