fee exemption from the 20th
From April 20th, the Permanent Commission for Unicamp Entrance Exams (Comvest) will receive requests for exemption from the registration fee for the Unicamp 2017 Entrance Exam. Requests must be made by May 23rd, exclusively online, at this page. To complete the process, the candidate must send the necessary documentation (described in the Notice), by mail, to Comvest by May 24th. The lack of any document and/or submission after the deadline excludes the candidate from the process.
This year, the two changes promoted last year continue to apply. The first is that for candidates for evening degrees (modality 3) there is no longer a requirement to have attended a public school, that is, candidates from private schools will also be able to request an exemption from the registration fee. The other change concerns candidates from other modalities, in which it is no longer required to have completed primary education II in the public network, but only secondary education, in full.
Exemptions from the Unicamp Entrance Exam registration fee are offered in three ways: 1- for candidates from low-income families (maximum net income of R$1.100,00 per household resident); 2- Unicamp/Funcamp employees; and 3- for those who apply for Bachelor's degree courses in the evening (Biological Sciences, Physics, Literature, Integrated Degree Chemistry/Physics, Mathematics and Pedagogy).
The prerequisites are: having completed high school in public education institutions (does not apply to modality 3); be resident and domiciled in the State of São Paulo and have already completed or completed high school in 2016. Comvest offers 6.640 exemptions in modality 1; 100 in modality 2 and an unlimited number of exemptions in modality 3.
The list of students eligible for exemption will be released on July 29th. Also from this date, recipients will begin to receive – exclusively via email – a communication that they have benefited. Important: Candidates are not automatically enrolled in the Unicamp 2017 Entrance Exam. They must subsequently register for the entrance exam, using the exemption code provided by Comvest. To register for the Unicamp Entrance Exam, exempt candidates must use a specific form.
The complete calendar with registration and exam dates for the 2017 Unicamp Entrance Exam will be released soon.
Exemptions last year
In the Unicamp 2016 Entrance Exam, 5.995 candidates who requested the Exemption and met the necessary requirements to receive the benefit were exempt from paying the registration fee. Comvest received 7.298 applications. The Unicamp Vestibular Exemption Program is part of the Affirmative Action and Social Inclusion Program (PAAIS), which provides that students who have completed all of high school in the Brazilian public education network receive additional points in the grades obtained in the Unicamp Vestibular.
