Mario José Abdala Saad He is a professor at the Department of Clinical Medicine at the Faculty of Medical Sciences at Unicamp. Graduated in Medicine from the Federal University Triângulo Mineiro, he completed his residency, master's degree and doctorate at the University of São Paulo. He carried out post-doctoral studies (1990-1992) at Harvard University (USA). He was deputy coordinator of the Health Area at Fapesp (2005-2016), and coordinator of the CNPq Health Committee (2003-2005). He was elected representative of São Paulo on the Federal Council of Medicine (1998-2004). At Unicamp, he coordinated the Postgraduate Subcommittee in Clinical Medicine (1994-1996) and the FCM Postgraduate Committee (1996-1998). He was Director of FCM for two terms (1998-2002, 2010-2014), member of the University Council (2003-2009, 2014-2016), and “pro-tempore” director of the Faculty of Applied Sciences (2009-2010).
In 1992, he received the “New Investigator Award” from the American Society of Endocrinology and the “Zeferino Vaz” academic recognition from Unicamp twice. In 2008, he was awarded Commander of the Order of Scientific Merit by the Presidency of the Republic. He is a 1A researcher at CNPq and a member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences. He has published nearly 300 articles in international journals, and has been cited more than 21.000 times in international scientific literature. He has already supervised 73 scientific initiation students, 24 master's students, 33 doctoral students and 18 post-doctorates. He was recently listed by the Journal Plos Biology among the 100 most influential scientists in the world.

Marco Aurélio Zezzi Arruda He is a professor at the Department of Analytical Chemistry and current director of the Chemistry Institute at Unicamp. He has a degree in Industrial Chemistry from the Methodist University of Piracicaba, a master's degree in Nuclear Energy in Agriculture from the Center for Nuclear Energy in Agriculture, a doctorate in Advanced Analytical Chemistry from the University of Córdoba and a post-doctorate at the Center for Nuclear Energy in Agriculture. At IQ, he was a member of the Management Committee of the Agreement between Unicamp and the Federal Revenue Service of the Port of Santos, member of the Management Committee of the Analytical Center, and head of the Analytical Chemistry Department. Since 2003, he has been a member of the Advisory Board of the Brazilian Chemistry Association. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Brazilian Society of Mass Spectrometry.
He served as Guest Visiting Professor at the CNRS (France) and the University of the Balearic Islands (Spain). Awarded with the Award for a career in pioneering science (Proteomass Scientific Society), the Zeferino Vaz Academic Recognition Award (Unicamp), the IV Science Popularization Award (SBPC), the Unicamp Inventors Award (Inova), and the Adison medal José Curtius. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, and has his biography published in “Who is Who in the World”. He is a 1A researcher at CNPq, has published around 220 articles in international journals, and has been cited more than 8.200 times in international scientific literature. He has already supervised 26 scientific initiation students, 18 master's degrees, 26 doctorates and 10 post-doctorates.
