The association Forges (Conference Forum on Higher Education Management in Portuguese Speaking Countries and Regions) presented a motion of regret over the plane crash involving the Chapecoense team's football delegation, which occurred on the 29th (Tuesday), when the aircraft was heading to Medellín, Colombia. The motion was read by professor Eduarda Duarte as a prior note to the assembly held this Wednesday morning (30) at the Unicamp Convention Center during the Association's General Assembly.
The assembly was attended by 63 members, including the rector of Unicamp, José Tadeu Jorge, who opened the conference on Monday (28).
According to the president of the Assembly, Maria do Rosário Bragança Sambo, rector of the University of Agostinho Neto (of Angola), the members of this Association could not fail to express this feeling of sadness over this great tragedy that devastated the Brazilian people.
The note was written on behalf of all participants in the conference, which brought together professors and researchers from higher education institutions in Portuguese-speaking countries, including Brazil, Portugal, Angola, Mozambique, Cape Verde and Goa. The event ends this Wednesday (30) and was hosted for the first time at Unicamp. The next one takes place in Mozambique. Read more about the sixth edition of the conference.
