The 4th edition of the Science & Art on Vacation (CAF) program begins next Wednesday (15), which will bring 225 students from 73 public high schools in Campinas and the region to Unicamp. The opening ceremony will be in the auditorium of the Faculty of Medical Science (FCM), at nine in the morning.
Organized by the Dean of Research (PRP) at Unicamp, the program allows students to experience the daily work of a researcher. For a month they participate in lectures, workshops and laboratory experiments. The intention is to awaken young talents for scientific research and artistic activities.

The opening will feature a lecture given by professor and CAF coordinator Douglas Galvão, who talks about the topic “Simulating the nature of nano-materials to ants”. Then, the students follow the presentation of the social project “All the ways to learn”, from Colégio Olímpico de Cosmópolis, which combines teaching with gymnastics and art.
After lunch at the University Restaurant, students continue the activities collectively as they will be every Wednesday and at the end of the program. Individual or group activities carried out in the laboratories take place on other days of the week.
The event will end on February 3rd, with the delivery of certificates to participating students and the presentation of posters of the work carried out. Access the website from the program.
