This Wednesday (25), starting at 8:30 am, the Pediatrics Research Center (Ciped), at the Faculty of Medical Sciences (FCM) at Unicamp, will receive 24 elite athletes from the Brazilian Paralympic Athletics Team. On that occasion, they will undergo pre-season assessments, aiming to start training in 2017. Among the components assessed are bone mass, muscle, fat and body density.
The group that will undergo evaluation at Unicamp includes medalists from the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games, such as: Ricardo Costa, gold in the long jump (T11); Daniel Mendes, gold in the 4x100 relay and bronze in the 200 meters (T11); Lorena Spoladore, bronze in the long jump (T11); and Terezinha Guilhermina, silver in the 4x100 relay and bronze in the 400 meters (T11).
