One of the first fruits of the partnership between the Center for Chemical Biology of Protein Kinases at the State University of Campinas (SGC-Unicamp) and Aché Laboratórios Farmacêuticos – supported by Fapesp – was recently released on the open platform bioRxiv. The study describes a candidate chemical compound to be used in future research as a selective inhibitor of the enzyme AAK1 (AP1-associated protein kinase 2), considered a potential target for drug development.
