The rector of Unicamp, professor José Tadeu Jorge, receives today (13), during a session of the City Council, the title of Limeirense Citizen. The honor was proposed by councilor Wagner Barbosa (PSB) and approved on the 1st by all parliamentarians. The ceremony will begin at 19 pm. Born in Santa Adélia (236 km from Limeira), Catanduva region, the rector played an important role in the expansion of Unicamp in Limeira. With his actions, the new campus and structure of the Faculty of Applied Sciences (FCA) were able to be installed and inaugurated on September 12, 2008, a struggle that began in 2001 with councilor Wagner Barbosa.
