Unicamp's rectory held this Monday (03-04), a public thank you to 25 federal deputies, state deputies, senators and former parliamentarians who made available, between 2009 and 2017, to the Hospital de Clínicas, R$37 million in resources from amendments to the Union Budget, transformed into agreements with the Ministry of Health.
Another R$12 million was invested by the Ministry of Health in programs supported by parliamentarians, which totaled R$48.800.000 guaranteed for the hospital in the acquisition of equipment and funding for the institution. The event was to celebrate the R$50 million mark, which must be reached with some amendments not yet registered in the National Health Fund for the 2017 Union budget.
The recognition ceremony took place at the University Council of the University - Consu - and were present Aline Correia (former deputy), Arlindo Chinaglia, Antônio Mentor representing his brother José Mentor, Barros Munhoz, Paulo Freire, Roberto Alves, Roberto de Lucena and Sinval Malheiros . Deputies Carlos Sampaio and Vanderlei Macris sent representatives. The widow, children and grandchildren of the former rector and former federal deputy, José Aristodeno Pinotti were also honored.
