Eight of the 31 forums and debates on current topics already promoted by the Strategic Thinking Forum, Penses, can now be seen in print media. The Rectory launched, on April 10th, the collection of notebooks with subjects such as gender violence, medicalization of society, water crisis, pre-salt, education and sport. The books, produced by a team and edited by journalist Guilherme Gorgulho Braz, present complete lectures and debates held at the forums, which achieved national and international repercussions. The works, published by the House of Physical Education, must be distributed to opinion leaders and libraries, but will also be available for download free by website from Penses. At the address it is also possible to access the videos of the lectures in full, recorded by RTV Unicamp.
The titles published by the Penses Collection are as follows:

“Prison: for what and for whom?” is the theme of an event on April 17th
When they conceived and set up the structure and actions of Penses (Fórum Pensamento Estratégico), just over four years ago, the IFGW professor, Julio Cesar Hadler Neto, and the then candidate for Rector, José Tadeu Jorge, could not imagine the repercussion of the initiative. Focusing on in-depth debates on current topics, the PENSES team held, in partnership with Unicamp professors, 31 discussion forums during the 2013-2017 administration, some of which were of interest to the international media. Another one is still scheduled, about the “prison institution”, for the 17th (Look programming). To this end, they brought together important names from inside and outside the university, foreign experts, public power managers and leaders of organized civil society.
