A series of activities at Unicamp are scheduled for the 15th National Museum Week, a cultural season promoted by the Brazilian Institute of Museums (Ibram), in celebration of International Museum Day (May 18). Exhibitions, workshops, guided visits, colloquiums and lectures are planned between May 15th and 21st, from 9am to 17pm. The Unicamp Exploratory Science Museum will once again participate in the SNCT and will be open for visits from schools and the public. Read the programming at Unicamp. The event is large and free, aimed at the general public. In this edition, it is estimated that more than a thousand museums from across the country will participate, offering the public around three thousand special activities in museums and memory institutions located in 485 cities in 26 states. Museum Week has been a factor in promoting and valuing Brazilian museums, as well as expanding the population's access to culture. The theme of this edition is "Museums and controversial histories: saying the unspeakable in museums".
