Until next Wednesday, the 12th, Unicamp will host the XXVII Meeting of the Association of Portuguese Language Universities (AULP). More than 130 registrants, including teachers, researchers and representatives of universities and higher education institutions from the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP), will debate the cultural convergences that exist in Portugal, Angola, Mozambique, Guinea-Bissau, São Tomé and Príncipe , Macau and Brazil. To this end, four main themes were selected for the presentation of works, which are Exchanges, Discourses, Transformations and Routes. In addition to being attended by the Secretary of State for Science, Technology and Higher Education of Portugal, Maria Fernanda Rollo, the event marks the end of the three-year tenure of professor Rui Martins, vice-rector of the University of Macau, at the head of AULP. This Tuesday, the 11th, a general assembly defines who will lead the organization for the next three years, as well as the institutions that will host the event for the same period.
