Unicamp surpasses USP in Folha University Ranking. UFRJ leads

Unicamp reached second place in the sixth edition of the Folha University Ranking. It is in the 2017 ranking ahead of USP, which is third, and behind the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), first. Unicamp went from 96,7 points in 2016 to 97,31 this year. UFRJ fell from 97,46 to 97,42, but maintained its leadership, and USP jumped from 97,03 to 97,24, respectively from 2016 to 2017.

The RUF carried out a review of its indicators this year. The number of theses per professor was included in this ranking, one of the institutions' evaluation criteria. Other parameters were teaching, market, innovation and internationalization. RUF classifies 195 Brazilian institutions based on these indicators.

Unicamp presented the largest number of theses per faculty and leads the new component of the formula. see the ranking of universities in each element of the indicators.
