A new ranking released this week by QS places Unicamp as the second best University in Latin America and ahead of USP, in third place. The Pontifical Catholic University of Chile leads. Unesp is in tenth place. For the rector of Unicamp, professor Marcelo Knobel, the survey highlights the strength of public universities in São Paulo. "It is always a pleasure to see Unicamp well positioned in the rankings. The result shows, once again, the strength of the public university system in the State of São Paulo, highlighting the three São Paulo universities in the TOP 10". In July this year, THE classified Unicamp as the best in Latin America.
